TEKNIDERMY MAILBAG

From: "demigod"

Loved the initial mag. Great interviews. sorry to hear that you couldn't retain legal council for an article. Only thing that I noticed was that each section had its own layout. Kind hard to follow that way imo. Also, each interview had a different layout making it hard to read at times. When the interviewer's and the interviewee's lines are right after each other, it's a pain to read.

I would suggest adopting a standard layout for the main sections, and maybe a standard, layout for the nterviews'. Not in the way the interview is conducted, but in how its displayed. Blah, I'm rambling here again, need to go off and write my weekly rant or something again hehe.

Anyway, Killer work, great to see an online mag like this.

Demigod,

We appreciate your constructive criticism, and we also appreciate you contributing ideas towards a solution. Your comments and concerns are in common with several letters we received suggesting a more "standard" layout for the magazine.

We continue in our efforts to make Teknidermy a more pleasant read. We hope you will approve of the changes made for this issue.

This is [morph] from efnet. I was thinking that a good idea for the magazine would be to interview skinners that look promising. The already established ones are interesting, yes, but it would be nice to see someone that isn't as well known "in the spotlite."
Uhh, since there is only one issue this could be useless since maybe you were planning that. But just a thought.

Morph,

We hear you. We were very pleased to feature Alex Jackson (Commodore Perry) in our Inaugural Edition. I had not heard of him until just a matter of days before we went to press. Although I was not that familiar with his work, I was very interested and entertained by his interview. (we were also grateful for his contribution of our cover, and that he allowed Tek to publish his "Mondrian Amp" skin.)
We will try to bring you artists of note, whether you know their names or not. Please let us know if there is an emerging artist that we should know about, and why. The easiest way to support a new or developing artist is to talk about them, and we want to hear it.
Thank you for the note, morph.

Loved the article by Doreen. That is a lot of usefull info. Can't wait for your next issue. Thanks a lot.

We hear you. Thank you for noting the article. We received a number of letters regarding the WAP article by Doreen, and the GIMP article by FearofFours. Although the interviews in our first issue got a lot of public comment, we are very happy to know that the information from the articles was helpful to our readers. In fact, the GIMP article turned out to be, by far, the most popular piece of our inaugural issue.

We hope you continue to enjoy the articles in Teknidermy magazine. Please let us know if there is a subject you think we should be covering...
